Grayson Waller Addresses WWE Main Roster Debut Match Against Edge

Grayson Waller has now reacted to his huge main roster in-ring debut on this week’s (July 7) edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

While Waller was drafted to SmackDown in early-May, he was only recently cleared for action after suffering a broken leg in his final NXT match.

In a surprising move announced on the night, Waller faced off against Hall of Famer Edge in his first SmackDown match, on this week’s special Madison Square Garden episode.

While Edge ultimately picked up the victory, several reports have indicated that the backstage reaction to this match was very positive.

Following the bout, Edge took to the mic to state that Waller swam, a reference to a previous line about sinking or swimming.

Waller has now commented on this moment in a tweet following SmackDown, writing:

Sink or Swim? I’m Australian, Throw me in the deep end lad, I’m ready #SmackDown

In a backstage interview shared as a WWE Digital Exclusive, Waller stated that, despite having prominent segments with Logan Paul, John Cena and Edge over the last week, he feels ‘pretty damn bad’ because of how his match ended.
