After failing to capture the Dusty Rhodes Classic Cup at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, the Grizzled Young Veterans will now return to NXT TV.
WWE has announced that James Drake and Zack Gibson will compete on NXT this week. More specifically, they will be facing Killian Dain and Drake Maverick. Here is the official preview from WWE.com:
“The Grizzled Young Veterans are likely unhappy after coming up short in the Dusty Classic Finals. They’ll look to channel their aggression against Killian Dain & Drake Maverick this week on NXT.
Zack Gibson & James Drake returned to the tournament finals for a second straight year, though they could not overcome MSK at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day after a scintillating, back-and-forth encounter.
Dain & Drake ran into the same buzzsaw last month, falling to MSK in the quarterfinals.
Which team is poised to get back on track with a victory?”
Killian Dane and Drake Maverick were also in the Dusty Rhodes Classic tournament. However, they were eliminated by eventual winners MSK before they could reach the finals.
Johnny Gargano will also take on Dexter Lumis in a non-title match on tonight’s show.
