GUNTHER has reacted to the news that Ilja Dragunov suffered a torn ACL at a WWE Live event over the weekend.
The September 28 WWE SuperShow in Columbus, Georgia saw Ilja Dragunov face GUNTHER in a World Heavyweight Championship match.
GUNTHER retained the World Heavyweight Championship in the match, with Dragunov unfortunately picking up the injury in the process.
On the September 30 episode of WWE Raw, it was reported that Dragunov is expected to be out of action for up to nine months.
With WWE sharing footage of the announcement, GUNTHER has reacted to the injury in an emotionless tweet that read:
“Weak things break”
That phrase was seen on the wall at Carozza Fitness gym in Stamford, Connecticut during a video showing GUNTHER’s training for Bash in Berlin.
The September 30 episode of WWE Raw saw GUNTHER goaded into finally giving Sami Zayn a World Heavyweight Championship match after weeks of antagonism between the pair.
Highlights from what went on between GUNTHER and Zayn can be seen below this news story.
Dragunov has previously opened up about his transition from WWE NXT to the main roster and noted the differences he’s encountered.
