World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has commented ahead of his title defence against Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg announced at the beginning of the year that he planned to take part in his retirement match at some point in 2025, with that match likely set for the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Atlanta, Georgia.
Goldberg last appeared on the WWE Bad Blood premium live event in October, when he got into a confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.
On last night’s episode of Raw, Goldberg made his return to WWE television, confronting GUNTHER a week after his World Heavyweight Championship victory over Jey Uso.
Goldberg challenged GUNTHER to a match for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta on July 12, confirming that would be the date of what appears to be Goldberg’s final match.
Taking to Instagram, GUNTHER reacted to his match with Goldberg, simply saying:
Im next …. guess i can spare 3 minutes.
