GUNTHER’s Future Role In WWE Update

An update has emerged on GUNTHER’s future role in WWE as he continues to move up the totem pole in the company.

GUNTHER has only suffered a small handful of defeats in his four-year WWE main roster career, and has recently scored some of his biggest wins, retiring Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles all in the space of a few months.

On the latest episode of Cody Rhodes‘ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Rhodes asked GUNTHER what he sees as his future position in WWE.

GUNTHER stated that he hopes to get to the top of the company, but not necessarily in the same way as someone like Rhodes.

The Austrian explained:

“Where I wanna get to is to be able to get into that spot, but then wrestle Ilja in that position. And have great matches with Bron down the line in that position. Have great matches with Oba.

“There’s many more of them. I feel like that’s what I wanna get to. I wanna be the guy that’s gonna be able to wrestle all of them, have great matches with all of them, and contribute that way.

“That’s why I like my role and how I do it. I don’t have it in me to be wanting to be the guy that is at the very mountaintop and everybody looks up to him.

“I admire you (Cody Rhodes) sometimes for what you do, because I couldn’t. I would not be able to have that much fan interaction, to have that much media interaction and all of that. And you do it really good. That’s not for me.

“I wanna be at the top, but in a different role and contribute that way.”
