WWE star Gunther says he is open to being involved with the NXT Europe launch.
Gunther has made a name for himself on the WWE main roster in a short amount of time, winning the Intercontinental Championship in June.
However, the Ring General first cut his teeth in the company with NXT UK as their champion for a record 870 days.
Speaking with Cultaholic Wrestling, Gunther was asked about NXT UK going on hiatus and whether he’s been approached about working with NXT Europe.
He answered:
“I think it’s still so fresh that there aren’t really concrete plans or anything. But I’m definitely up to being involved somehow. I think it’d a great progression from NXT UK. I think there’s a lot of potential in NXT Europe so I hope we can do our part in that.”
Gunther’s Imperium stablemate Ludvig Kaiser discussed his memories of NXT UK and expressed fondly looking back on that chapter of his career.
Kaiser said:
“I think it was a great time because obviously myself and back then Fabian Aichner, we started in NXT and then we had the chance to go over there, and that was also when we got back together with WALTER and Imperium happened and all that. So it was a very important stage of our career. Lots of great memories from that time. But now it’s time to move on, now it’s a different part of our career, now we make the very best out of that.”
Gunther and Kaiser reunited with Giovanni Vinci as Imperium at the WWE Clash At The Castle event on September 3.
