Following recent PLEs in 2024, current World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has discussed potential “European expansion” for WWE.
In 2024, WWE has visited several European countries for premium live events, including Backlash France, Clash At The Castle in Scotland and Bash In Berlin.
This follows 2023 when the company went to London for WWE Money In The Bank.
During a new interview with Metro, GUNTHER teased a “European expansion” for WWE. He said:
“We’re just getting started,’ the whole European expansion, it’s not the last of it we’ve seen, I think there’s more to come.”
“I’m excited and I’m happy that I was able to position myself as one of the front runners of representing the company in that respect.”
GUNTHER is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn on the October 7 edition of WWE Raw.
GUNTHER has teased future "European expansion" for WWE following the success of Bash in Berlin, Clash at the Castle and Backlash France in 2024:
