GUNTHER has now reacted to Randy Orton advancing to the King of the Ring tournament finals, ahead of their match at this weekend’s premium live event.
The King and Queen of the Ring final matches have now been confirmed, following the last semi-final bouts taking place on Friday’s (May 24) edition of SmackDown.
Randy Orton notably defeated Tama Tonga to earn his place in the tournament final set to take place on Saturday. GUNTHER had previously punched his ticket to King & Queen of the Ring 2024, defeating Jey Uso in Monday’s semi-final.
In a WWE Digital Exclusive interview, GUNTHER noted that he sees Randy Orton as one of WWE’s biggest legends.
Wanting to become a legend himself, GUNTHER said:
“What an opportunity it is. What a chance. I came here to do this. I came here to be in the ring with the best of the best, and Randy is maybe one of the biggest legends that ever came out of WWE. But to become a legend myself, I gotta beat a legend tomorrow.
“And tomorrow, Der Ring General will officially become the King of the Ring.”
Lyra Valkyria will battle Nia Jax in the Queen of the Ring finals, following Jax’ semi-final victory over Bianca Belair.
