Big GUNTHER WWE Match Announced For International Event

A huge WWE match featuring World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has been announced for the March 14 SmackDown taping.

According to the official WWE event page for the upcoming show, Cody Rhodes, Nia Jax, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, Solo Sikoa and Tiffany Stratton are the featured stars for that evening.

The WWE Espana Twitter account, however, has revealed that GUNTHER will also be at the Olimpic Arena and has named his opponent.

According to a post on the Twitter account, GUNTHER will be facing AJ Styles in a dark match, with the post reading:

“The World Heavyweight Champion @gunther_wwe will face @AJStylesOrg on March 14 in Barcelona in a fight that you can only see at @OlimpicArenaBdn! 💥”

GUNTHER is set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41 on April 19 & 20, 2025.

This comes after Jey Uso chose to challenge for GUNTHER’s title after winning the Royal Rumble match.

Speaking about that match, GUNTHER has previously said that he’s “not interested” in facing Jey Uso.

GUNTHER recently made short work of Akira Tozawa as a warning to his opponent ahead of WrestleMania 41.
