WWE’s plans for World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER on the USA Network premiere of SmackDown have been revealed.
On September 12, it was reported by PWInsiderElite that The Ring General was planned for an appearance on the blue brand’s USA debut in Seattle.
Naturally, fans have been curious whether they should expect to see GUNTHER on TV during the broadcast, or whether the Austrian’s appearance would be in a dark match instead.
Now we have our answer, as fans attending the show in Seattle have received emails confirming that GUNTHER is set to take on former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest in a dark match on the show.
As well as this, GUNTHER’s Imperium teammate Ludwig Kaiser is also set for action in a non-televised bout, taking on Raw rival Sheamus.
The SmackDown broadcast itself is set to kick-off in a huge way, as Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defends his title against Solo Sikoa inside a Steel Cage.
Elsewhere on the show Andrade and Carmelo Hayes square-off once again in singles action and Kevin Owens teams up with a mystery partner to take on A-Town Down Under.
