There has been an update on the status of Hangman Adam Page in AEW amid rumours of his upcoming return to television.
The former AEW World Champion has been off AEW television since the Revolution pay-per-view in March.
There, he lost to Samoa Joe in an AEW World Championship Triple Threat match that also included Swerve Strickland.
It was reported by Fightful last week that creative was being put in place for Hangman’s return to the company, with many expecting that he may return on tonight’s episode of the show, which takes place in his home state of Virginia.
However, in an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Hangman was not scheduled for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite as of last week.
While it could always change, his return was instead planned for sometime over the next few weeks.
The Elite challenged team AEW to a Blood and Guts match on last week’s episode of Dynamite, with them looking for a fifth member of their team, which many speculate could be Hangman Page himself.
