A major match is confirmed for the upcoming AEW pay-per-view, Double or Nothing for a championship title for CM Punk.
On tonight’s episode (April 27) of AEW Dynamite we saw the stare-down from last week pay off as it was confirmed that at Double or Nothing, there would be an AEW World Championship match putting champ ‘Hangman’ Adam Page versus CM Punk.
After the match was announced and a graphic was shown on screen, CM Punk left the commentary desk where he was chatting about Cash Wheeler vs. Dax Harwood and did a quick walk and talk promo, ending with punctuation of things to come.
CM Punk first addressed the crowd and then turned his attention to Hangman Adam Page, saying:
“Without you there is no me! Without you, I don’t come back after seven years, without you I don’t make it to Double or Nothing. Double or Nothing is in Las Vegas, Nevada and I’ve never been a gambling man but Hangman listen to me, I’ll always bet on myself win, lose or draw you will know you were in a fight with CM Punk and I’ll continue to fight until the wheels fall off.”
CM Punk will be taking on Adam Page for the first time at Double or Nothing, live on pay-per-view from Las Vegas, Nevada on May 29, 2022.
