While reports recently surfaced claiming there would be no AEW involvement in the upcoming Royal Rumble, it doesn’t stop interviewers from inquiring or AEW stars from cracking jokes.
Speaking to Good Morning Washington, local reporter Britt Waters asked, “Are you busy next Saturday? Are you popping up at the Royal Rumble?” to which Page replied:
“Uhh no, probably won’t be in the Royal Rumble. Don’t rule me out but um, but probably not. I like to keep my Saturdays open to be with family, it’s a better use of my time.”
‘Hangman’ Adam Page remains the AEW World Champion after successfully defending the title against Bryan Danielson in a recent match that was so bloody and sweaty, Page told Waters he couldn’t show off the AEW title belt because it had been sent for cleaning after the brutal January 5 match.
While jokester CM Punk has also referenced entering this year’s Rumble match, it remains highly unlikely he or any of his AEW colleagues, will be making an appearance in this year’s Rumble.
