The Wrestling Observer star rating for the Hangman Page vs Bryan Danielson AEW World Championship match from the Dynamite: Winter Is Coming special has been revealed.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer awarded the match an impressive 5-star rating.
This marks Danielson’s second 5-star match rating of his career, following his time-limit draw against Kenny Omega at Dynamite: Grand Slam in September.
Page seems to be on a roll, earning his second 5+ star bout rating in a row. Page’s AEW World Championship win against Kenny Omega at Full Gear was awarded 5.5 stars.
Meltzer was a big fan of the bout, noting that the 5 star rating was in spite of the commercial breaks, writing:
“I’d go ***** here and that’s with the disadvantage of it having commercial breaks as I’m sure it was better uninterrupted.”
