Matt & Jeff Hardy Address AJ Styles Joining TNA Wrestling After WWE Retirement TNA/WWE

Matt and Jeff Hardy have commented on the possibility of AJ Styles returning to TNA Wrestling following his WWE retirement.

At Royal Rumble on January 31, GUNTHER defeated AJ Styles in what was billed as Styles’ retirement match.

However, speculation has persisted – and hasn’t been 100% put to bed by Styles yet – that he could potentially return to the ring outside of WWE.

In a new interview with 1Wrestling, TNA World Tag Team Champions the Hardy Boyz commented on Styles possibly returning to the promotion where he originally made his name.

Matt Hardy said:

“People are definitely anticipating where AJ is gonna land, because something does seem very intriguing about that.

“His exact terminology was, ‘If you do beat me GUNTHER, it will be the end of my WWE career.’ That was very specific.

“He has a genuine, very real authentic love for TNA, so I would love to have him back at TNA and he would really help us thrive as a company.”

Jeff Hardy added:

“I feel like (Styles vs Mike Santana) is a dream match that kinda has to happen now. I heard Mike Santana talk about it in an interview and it just felt like, ‘Whoa, that would be amazing.’ Me as a wrestling fan would love to see that match.

“And AJ, when the world ends, if armageddon happens and all professional wrestling is over, AJ might be the ultimate GOAT, man.

“He is just an incredible human being and has done an amazing job in his career. For him to come back to TNA would be incredible, and it would mean so much to all of us.”
