Hardy Boyz WWE Return Status

Hardy Boyz WWE Return Status WWE

An update has emerged on the status of a potential WWE return for current TNA World Tag Team Champions the Hardy Boyz.

Working in TNA since their AEW departures, there’s been a lot of talk regarding the possibility of the Hardys having one last run in WWE, whether it be fully signing with the company or done via the WWE/TNA partnership.

They did have a short run in NXT last year – which included them briefly winning the NXT Tag Team Championship – but haven’t had anything on the main roster other than being in attendance for WWE SummerSlam last year.

The Royal Rumble took place on January 31 and is of course a popular event for returns, but there was no sign of the Hardy Boyz.

In an interview with 1Wrestling, the Hardys were asked if there were any conversations about them being part of the Rumble.

Matt replied

“I feel like if it wasn’t in Saudi, the conversation would have been a lot stronger.”

During the same interview, Matt also had high praise for former WWE star Mustafa Ali, who has been a regular in TNA since his 2023 release, saying:

“Ali is in his prime right now. He is working greater than he ever has. I can’t compliment Ali enough.

“I get that feeling, when you look at him and you see him now, and the work he’s doing, the quality that he gets out of every single match-up he’s in, he’s a future TNA World Champion, no doubt.”
