Those local advertisers need to stop their advertising or we’re going to know all the results before they even happen. It’ll be like the whole thing isn’t real!
This time it’s the turn of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, the arena hosting Extreme Rules on July 14. The matches currently being advertised would seemingly suggest a few things about Money in the Bank.
- Triple Threat for the WWE Title: Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens vs. Kofi Kingston (c)
- Tables Match for the WWE Universal Title Baron Corbin vs. Seth Rollins (c)
- 1-on-2 Handicap Match: Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon and Elias
- Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles
So, excuse me while I insult your intelligence, but this would suggest that Seth Rollins is beating AJ Styles, and Kofi Kingston will retain against Kevin Owens at Money in the Bank, which will somehow bring Randy Orton into the mix.
The most worrying this about all of this is that Baron Corbin is being advertised for a Universal Championship match, which sounds about as enticing as trapped wind.
Of course the card is always subject to change depending on how Vince is feeling on any given day of the week, but Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan is to build Corbin up for a shot at Seth’s title.
Oh yay.
