Heartwarming Backstage Footage Of Shawn Michaels Hugging Emotional NXT Star At Halloween Havoc

Footage has emerged from backstage at NXT Halloween Havoc that shows Shawn Michaels hugging a newly crowned NXT champion.

The seven-second video clip shows an emotional embrace between Shawn Michaels, Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative overseeing NXT, and Wes Lee, the new NXT North American Champion.

Wes Lee won the NXT North American Championship in a ladder match that also featured Nathan Frazer, Oro Mensah, Carmelo Hayes and Von Wagner that was described as “a certified banger.”

Other results from Halloween Havoc were as follows:

• Apollo Crews defeated Grayson Waller in a casket match
• Roxanne Perez defeated Cora Jade in a ‘Weapons Wild’ match
• Julius Creed defeated Damon Kemp in an ambulance match
• Mandy Rose defeated Alba Fyre to retain the NXT Women’s Championship
• Bron Breakker defeated Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh in a three-way to retain the NXT Championship

One other notable thing coming out of the show was that T-BAR (Dominik Dijakovic) looks to be headed to the NXT brand.
