‘Heavy Praise’ For Free Agent Star After WWE Tryout

A free agent star received “heavy praise” from WWE representatives following a tryout event in the UK.

With WWE close to wrapping up their Road to WrestleMania European tour, the company held a tryout event from the company’s UK Performance Center in London on March 29.

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan the following talent took part in the tryout: Rhio, Goldenboy Santos, Zozaya, Man Like DeReiss, Luke Jacobs, Bionic (of Gladiators TV show), Nathan Angel, Rayne Leverkusen, Danny Jones, Adam Maxted and Yago Rivera (of European League Football).

Fightful Select’s report following the event revealed that Man Like DeReiss’s showing at the tryout “impressed” WWE in particular, receiving “heavy praise” from WWE representatives.

The talent involved in the tryout had to undergo standard drills, promo class and their first tryout matches, with more set to take place at the second tryout event today (March 30).

Prior to the tryout it had been reported that several talent in WWE had been “pushing” for the company to sign DeReiss, as well as Rhio.

Following this report DeReiss made his TNA Wrestling debut on the February 21 taping of Xplosion, losing to Jason Hotch.

This match was reportedly also a tryout for TNA, however, there had not been any updates since regarding the promotion potentially signing the 28-year-old English star.
