Here’s How WWE Will Use Brock Lesnar After SummerSlam Return

An update has been provided on Brock Lesnar’s WWE status, following his surprise return during the closing moments of SummerSlam.

After Roman Reigns defeated John Cena for the Universal Title on August 21, his celebrations were cut short by The Beast making his entrance. Lesnar and Reigns had a brief stare-down before Reigns left Lesnar in the ring.

PWInsider has now confirmed rumors that Lesnar will be on the babyface side of the SmackDown roster moving forward. It was noted that this is the first time Lesnar has been a babyface in WWE since the early 2000s.

Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since losing his WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year. After SummerSlam went off the air, Lesnar attacked John Cena, laying the 16-time World Champion out with an F5.

Becky Lynch also made her WWE return at the Biggest Party of the Summer, defeating Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in under 30 seconds. Lynch will reportedly be working as a heel on the Blue Brand.

Both Lesnar and Lynch are set to appear on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
