Here’s Why Two Top NXT Stars Were Backstage At WWE Raw

Yesterday evening it was reported that NXT stars Matt Riddle and Bianca Belair were both in New York and were both backstage at the Barclays Center ahead of Monday Night Raw.

Neither Riddle or Belair appeared on the show last night, but the reasons they were backstage for the event may have just been revealed.

Last night, The Street Profits defeated Seth Rollins and Murphy to become the Raw Tag Team Champions. For those who aren’t aware, Montez Ford is married to Bianca Belair, so the EST of NXT was at the building to support her husband.

However, the reason Matt Riddle was backstage at the show is slightly less clear clear.

FW4Online is reporting that Matt Riddle was at the show for “unrelated business”, but there is not an exact word in what that means as of yet. Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on that.

However, POST Wrestling is reporting that Riddle was backstage at the show for a meeting. There is also no word on what this “meeting” was about:

“We were told that Riddle is there for a meeting”.
