Jessika Black might be a powerful force in the ring but to her students, she is their great teacher from Montreal.
Soon however, Black will find herself studying in Atlanta at the Nightmare Factory after she won the opportunity.
Montreal professional wrestler Jessika Black was selected by QT Marshall as one of four winners who will receive a cash prize, training and a visit to AEW when they come to Canada.
Speaking to CBC, Black said:
“I’m smiling from ear to ear!
“I’m going to give it my all and have fun with it.”
As the only female winner, real name Jessika Neri, feels it is important to represent women in wrestling, saying:
“I feel very strongly about women’s struggles, I’d love to help inspire any other woman, or any other minority … to always go after what they want, no matter what the obstacles are and no matter what anyone says about them.”
According to the article from CBC:
“After an all-expenses-paid stint at the Nightmare Factory in Atlanta, Neri will make her debut at All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in October. In addition to the $5,000 cash prize, she will also have a figurine of her wrestling persona made.”
The contest has been a part of an on-going series from Jacques Rougeau and his wrestling academy.
The official contest page notes that four winners will receive a $5000 cash prize and a try-out at the Nightmare Factory with QT Marshall.
We’ll have to see in what capacity the winners may pop up when AEW heads
