AEW held the second match of it’s AEW TBS Women’s Championship Tournament on tonight’s (October 27) episode of AEW Dynamite, when former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida took on Serena Deeb.
Three weeks ago, Deeb defeated Shida on Dynamite, denying her her 50th win in All Elite Wrestling, before breaking the 50 wins trophy over her head.
In tonight’s rematch, Shida pinned Deeb with a victory roll to secure her 50th win in AEW, and advance to the quarter finals of the TBS Championship tournament, where she will take on the woman who she dethroned to become AEW Women’s World Champion, Nyla Rose.
The first tournament match took place last Saturday on Dynamite, when Ruby Soho defeated Penelope Ford to advance to face Kris Statlander in the quarter finals. The winner of that match will face the winner of Shida vs Rose in the semi finals.
