Hikaru Shida Bringing Championship Back To AEW From Japan

Hikaru Shida Bringing Championship Back To AEW From Japan AEW

Hikaru Shida popped by Twitter to put AEW on notice – not only is she back, she’s bringing back Championship gold!

Hikaru Shida has been out of action with AEW for a bit but she’s back and bringing home a new championship title with her!

Returning to action on tonight’s release of AEW Dark Elevation, Shida teamed with the AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm, ThunderStorm to take on Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir and Emi Sakura.

Shida is returning to AEW as a champion in WAVE, revisiting the promotion from her decorated professional wrestling career.

For the first time in her career, Shida picked up the WAVE Regina Di Wave Championship after defeating Suzu Suzuki at the WAVE 15th Anniversary show in Tokyo recently.

Returning to AEW as champ will surely give the former AEW Women’s World Champion some momentum as she joins an already stacked field in the women’s division as the feuds and rivalries continue to heat up.

Hikaru Shida is currently 8-2-0 in AEW thus far in 2022.
