Pro-Wrestling is all about fans trying to immerse themselves into the spectacle they’re watching in the ring, and it’s an art wrestling promotions take years to perfect.
One of the most important things is to make the action in the ring seem real, with perfect show pacing. Unfortunately, WWE appears to have forgotten this key part of the formula.
If you’ve ever been to a live WWE taping of Raw or SmackDown, you’ll know that wrestlers often make their entrances before a break, only to stand in the dark in the middle of the ring while we’re all at home watching video packages or adverts.
During last night’s taping of Raw, a fan filmed Kevin Owens slightly losing his temper at being forced to wait for around 15 minutes in the dark after making his entrance.
As you can see from the video below, Owens points out everyone in attendance has just seen everything being shown in the video package, so why are we all watching it again? I mean, he’s got a point.

It must be very frustrating for wrestlers, who likely hype themselves up before going out to the ring to either have a match or cut a promo, to have to wait so long when they really wouldn’t have to if the shows were better paced and planned in advance.
