It’s so great to see that Buddy Murphy is getting some TV time months after he moved to SmackDown Live from 205 Live.
Finally WWE is seeing the potential that he has and is pushing a young star…oh no wait, maybe not.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the only reason Buddy was involved in the feud at all is because fans spotted him in the background of a shot after Roman Reigns was nearly flattened by some metal scaffolding on SmackDown.
Maybe this will lead to more unused stars walking in the back of major angles if the only way they can get on TV is by accident.
Murphy and Reigns had one of the best main roster matches of the year this past week on SmackDown Live, so hopefully he can get a push on purpose now.
It seems incredible that WWE can have someone like Buddy Murphy just sitting backstage doing nothing whatsoever until some fans happen to spot him in the back of a shot.
There is no word yet as to whether his match with Reigns will be the end of his involvement in this feud, but Daniel Bryan and Rowan also beat him up backstage, so perhaps he’ll be on the hunt for some revenge.
He does flips and stuff, so Vince probably sees him as a babyface. Therefore, we could be in for a Buddy & Roman vs. Bryan and Rowan in the coming weeks.
