Hiroshi Tanahashi Moves On To AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

The NJPW star who will face Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door has been determined.

At today’s NJPW Dominion event, Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Hirooki Goto to advance to face Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door on June 26.

The matchup will be the main event for the huge AEW and NJPW co-promoted event from the United Center in Chicago.

Jon Moxley earned his spot by defeating the winner of the Casino Battle Royale, Kyle O’Reilly in the main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite.

Moxley and Tanahashi have been traded words for well over a year now with the AEW star calling out he Ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling for a match.
