Historic Women’s Tables Ladders And Chairs Match Confirmed For WWE TLC

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will renew their rivalry at TLC in the first women’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs match in WWE history.

But that’s not all. The warring duo will be joined by a third party, Asuka, who won a show-closing battle royal to earn a spot in the match.

Initially a singles meeting between Flair and Lynch at the PPV was announced by SmackDown GM Paige at the top of the show, until she was challenged for only giving opportunities to her former PCB allies (yes, WWE remembered a faction from three years ago!) by the rest of the women on the roster.

Paige agreed, saying that she wanted to be a fair GM. She then made the battle royal and declared that the winner would take the third spot in the historic TLC encounter.

Asuka – who was the most popular person in the match by far – won the bout after lastly eliminating Sonya Deville, following a scrap on the ring apron. Charlotte and Becky watched the bout from ringside.

Although we have no official confirmation of this, there is every possibility that the addition of Asuka to the match is a back-up plan in case Lynch is not cleared in time to compete at the PPV. As of yet, there has been no confirmation as to whether she is able to return to the ring or not.

It might be that WWE finds itself in a similar conundrum to the Braun Strowman situation, where they are advertising a match several weeks out but know it is touch and go as to whether it actually happens.

Nevertheless, as is stands it will be Becky Lynch v Charlotte Flair v Asuka at TLC in another in a long line of overdue firsts for the women’s division. It should be a show-stealer.
