‘History-Making Announcement’ On WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has teased a ‘history-making announcement’ for tonight’s SmackDown show.

Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown is the first episode following last weekend’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, which featured the crowning of the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Champions.

This will be the first live episode of WWE main roster television in almost two weeks, with last week’s SmackDown being pre-taped, as well as this week’s Raw in Riyadh, and with it, a big announcement is set to take place.

Ahead of the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis took to Twitter, where he teased a ‘history-making announcement’ for the show.

He wrote:

I have an exciting, history-making announcement to make TONIGHT on #Smackdown 8/7c only on @USANetwork

Triple H had previously made a major announcement at the WWE Bad Blood event last month, which saw the announcement and unveiling of the WWE Crown Jewel Championships.
