Major Free Agent Shares Honest Thoughts On WWE WWE

Former NJPW star Kota Ibushi has commented on WWE’s training system, amid speculation about a potential WWE move.

After signing with WWE, new recruits generally report to the Performance Center for training, ahead of their WWE TV debuts on NXT.

It has been heavily speculated that former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will soon join the promotion, after his NJPW contract expired in February.

Speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ibushi appeared to reveal his stance on WWE’s developmental division.

Believing that wrestlers can only learn so much in WWE, Ibushi said:

“WWE can only teach one thing. Wrestling is more than just entertainment. I want to teach you from the real battle stance.

“That’s what I can say WWE doesn’t have. I still train in martial arts & wrestling”

The former NJPW name notably wrestled for WWE over the summer in 2016, competing in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, and on several episodes of NXT TV.

Ibushi has notably discussed plans to open a training school in the future.

The Japanese star recently returned to the ring, competing at the Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 9 and Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7 GCW shows during WrestleMania week.

A recent update indicated that the belief within WWE is that Ibushi has little interest in signing a full-time contract with any promotion.
