Tonight on AEW Dynamite, a return after over a month away from in-ring action as a former rivalry resumed for HOOK.
On tonight’s Dynamite, Katsuyori Shibata had a match against the ‘Bad Apple’ Bryan Keith of Chris Jericho’s ‘Learning Tree’ faction.
With Chris Jericho in on commentary, Taz was out with Excalibur noting that upon the arrival of Jericho, security ushered out Taz.
Jericho noted that he refused to sit in close proximity of Taz so the EVPs the Young Bucks made sure to take care of it for him with the security intervention.
While Shibata and Keith in the ring competed in a relatively competitive match, it would be the notable post-match angle that was most newsworthy.
With Jericho and Big Bill joining Keith in a beatdown of Shibata after the match, he would get some help from a run-in return.
HOOK made his return to AEW after last competing in a match on July 3, continuing his alliance with Shibata.
The third in their group, Samoa Joe, was written off AEW television as he is expected to be filming the second season of the Peacock original, Twisted Metal.
