An update on the status of the House of Black faction in AEW following speculation about Malakai Black’s departure and WWE return.
On this week’s AEW Dynamite show, Will Ospreay faced off against Buddy Matthews in the opening match, but it was the post-match angle that got most fans talking.
Taking a microphone after the match, Ospreay put over both Matthews and Brody King, saying that neither man needed to follow a ‘leader’, seemingly teasing that both would leave the House of Black.
After the segment, Fightful Select reported that Malakai Black is believed to be finishing up with the company, with him set to become a free agent in either February or March.
On tonight’s Collision show, the demise of the House of Black was seemingly confirmed once again, with Brody King picking up a victory on the show.
After his win, Brody was interviewed before Cope approached he and Julia backstage, saying that he respects the two of them, as well as Buddy, despite the history between them, and that it was time for them to ‘take the reigns and run’.
COPE shares words of wisdom as he stands face to face once again with Brody King.
