Jake Hager has his next Bellator MMA fight coming up on October 29, and we now know how AEW feels about him taking the fights.
Fightful Select notes that Hager clarified he actually knew about the fight about a month ago, despite it only being announced publicly last week.
Hager also said that he always lets AEW know as soon as he can about his fights so the promotion can figure out how to write him off TV, out of matches, or any of that stuff.
He also “joked” that, as long as he keeps winning his fights, the promotion doesn’t have a problem with him taking them. If you watch AEW regularly you’ll know they like to mention about his undefeated MMA record.
Hager’s record stands at 2 wins and zero losses, along with one match that had to be thrown out after two accidental low blows to his opponent.
Thursday will be his first fight since September 2019, his last being the aforementioned no contest with Anthony Garrett at Bellator 231.
