How The AEW Roster Reportedly Feels About Sammy Guevara AEW

Sammy Guevara continues to be a high profile figure in AEW storylines but his backstage reputation continues to take something of a beating.

With recent altercations with Andrade El Idolo and Eddie Kingston, as well as several other incidents prior, many people have developed a negative opinion of Guevara, though it’s clear that Tony Khan has faith in the Spanish God in the way that he continues to be well-booked.

Wade Keller of PWTorch has provided some further information on the backstage reputation of Sammy Guevara, saying:

“People like Sammy, but they groan at Sammy’s decision-making.”

Keller isn’t sure as to how the Guevara situation will be handled, but does note the seriousness of it, stating:

“I don’t know how the Sammy situation will be addressed going forward. But I think there’s been two high profile situations with Sammy that it’s sort of like two strikes.”

It definitely doesn’t appear to be all over for the 29-year-old, as Keller says:

“So I think he’s going to have to grow up and mature a little bit. And I think there’s going to be some leadership steering him in that direction now.”

With the AEW locker room finding leadership in the triumvirate of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho, hopefully one of the three can steer Guevara back to where he needs to be to put that negative perception behind him.

Guevara most recently teamed with Jericho in a win over Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia on the October 5 edition of Dynamite, and this week (October 26) he’ll be in singles action against Danielson.
