How Charlotte Flair Return Affected Lana Plans Revealed

Charlotte Flair made her WWE return last Sunday at TLC after being out since June, replacing Lana as Asuka’s tag team partner.

Fightful Select reports that, when the Lana vs Nia Jax storyline kicked off a couple of months ago, Flair’s return wasn’t even being considered. It was only after Survivor Series that she was being factored in.

The storyline saw Jax put Lana through a table for about 90 billion weeks in a row before Lana was the sole survivor at Survivor Series, but she was attacked by Jax and Shayna Baszler two Raws ago to write her out of TLC and make way for Flair’s return.

It was reported that Lana would be off TV for a number of weeks following that attack, so there’s likely to still be a few weeks without her from now.

The report also notes that many in WWE were kept in the dark about Flair’s return, but it ended up being a badly kept secret for the last couple of days.
