If the crowd at the DCU Center for last night’s SmackDown taping seemed a little thin, that’s because it was. Almost half of the upper level was completely blocked off, likely due to poor ticket sales. The hard cam side didn’t look too full either, as many sections there were empty, and the areas that were populated had many an open seat.
Fortunately, the lack of people in the crowd didn’t take away from the energy they brought with them. And the crowd facing the hard cam was pretty well packed.
It’s a shame as well because the show was actually quite good. It had a solid main event, a hot opening segment and match, and the first celebration of “Lana Day.”
