Is it a Problem?
Low attendance is nothing new, especially for SmackDown. Last year, the show had a very hard time filling arenas, which many attributed to Jinder Mahal being WWE Champion. But now, even with fan-favorite AJ Styles as champion, and Daniel Bryan back in action, they’re still struggling. However, I don’t think this is cause for concern. Obviously, you’d like to see arenas filled all around with screaming fans, but the company just made a billion-dollar deal with FOX, so they have no financial concerns about ticket sales, at the moment. There is clearly still value and interest in the product.
