It has been reported that Davey Boy Smith Jr (Harry Smith) has officially re-signed with WWE following his anticipated in-ring return.
In a dark match prior to this week’s episode of SmackDown, Smith teamed with Austin Theory to wrestle his first WWE match in over 10 years. Following the bout, the star stated that “Harry Smith is back in WWE“.
As per PWInsider, Smith and WWE came to terms on a new deal months ago. Smith reportedly re-signed with WWE in March, but the company purposefully kept the news quiet until the timing was right for him to “officially” return.
Smith has wrestled outside of WWE since March. His appearance at GCW Bloodsport 6 in April was thought to be a rumor killer regarding his WWE signing.
Smith previously left WWE in August 2011. During his absence from the company, he wrestled all over the world for the likes of NJPW and MLW.
Tyson Kidd recently admitted that he was attempting to get Smith to return to WWE once and for all.
