A new update has come to light regarding Rey Fenix and the injury he’s currently dealing with that is keeping him out of action.
The injury was first reported by Dave Meltzer last month but there was no timeline or details, other than it happened during a match in Mexico, and Bodyslam.net has now provided an update.
Rey Fenix is said to be sidelined due to a groin injury for 6-8 weeks, and since some of those weeks have already passed, he’s likely to be back in about a month.
He was mentioned last night on Dynamite to give a storyline reason for his absence, as the announcers said he had been attacked backstage by the Super Elite, but the promotion refused to air the footage of it that had been captured by Brandon Cutler.
The Young Bucks then beat Fenix’s fellow Death Triangle members PAC and Penta El Zero M, and next week it’ll be the Bucks and Cutler vs PAC, Penta and Eddie Kingston.
We’ll continue to keep you informed if there are any more updates and we continue to wish Rey Fenix a safe recovery.
