It has now been revealed how long WWE is expecting Kevin Owens to be out of action following his neck injury announcement.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens announced that he had suffered a neck injury, and was set to undergo neck surgery in the coming weeks, leading to his scheduled match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 being cancelled.
Earlier today, it was reported that Kevin Owens had already undergone his neck surgery, with it reportedly having taken place on April 7, but there has now been an update on Owens’ surgery.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Fightful has confirmed that Owens’ surgery has not taken place yet.
In regards to Owens’ injury and timeline for a return, those within the company that spoke to Fightful noted that they weren’t expecting Owens to be back in 2025, with some saying it’s possible he also misses next year’s WrestleMania.
Randy Orton is reportedly still set to be in a match at WWE WrestleMania, with a replacement opponent for Owens set to be announced.
We wish Kevin Owens all the best following his neck injury.
