Here’s how the announcement of CM Punk for the debut episode of AEW Collision affected ticket sales for the show.
The debut will take place on June 17 in Punk’s hometown of Chicago at the United Center, with Punk’s presence officially confirmed by Tony Khan on Wednesday Night (May 31) during AEW Dynamite.
Now, WrestleTix has provided an update on what difference that made to ticket sales for the event.
At 8:30am ET on Wednesday, so about 12 hours before the announcement, 6,921 tickets had been sold.
Fast forward to 3:43pm ET on Thursday, so the day after the announcement, that number had increased to 7,684.
WrestleTix also detailed some big changes to the setup including an extra 1,535 seats being made available.
As you can see below, the venue is now set up for 10,233 fans.
