Here are more details on the final ticket sales for Sunday’s (May 29) AEW Double of Nothing pay-per-view.
The event emanated from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Per WrestleTix, as of 4:37 ET/1:37 PT, AEW had distributed 13,111 tickets for the event, with another 764 available.
This would reportedly make the event the sixth most attended pay-per-view via ticket sales in AEW history, behind the first episode of Dynamite in October 2019, Dynamite: Grand Slam in September 21, , the upcoming Forbidden Door NJPW crossover event, Rampage: The First Dance in August 2021, and Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
The pay-per-view featured 13 matches including the preshow, with CM Punk defeating Hangman Page for the AEW World Title in the main event. Punk is just the fifth men’s World Champion in the promotion’s short history.
MJF vs Wardlow opened the show, following uncertainty that MJF would be on the show, after he didn’t turn up to an AEW Fan Fest meet & greet the day prior. Check out the latest update on MJF at this link.
