Brock Lesnar became a two-time WWE Universal Champion this past Friday at WWE Crown Jewel when he defeated Braun Strowman, and a major update on his WWE contract has come to light.
Dave Meltzer reported for MMAFighting.com that Lesnar’s new WWE contract length has been kept secretive, but it is known that the ‘Beast’ is scheduled for WrestleMania 35 in April of next year.
Meltzer also noted that the new contract does indeed allow Lesnar to compete in UFC, where he is heavily rumored for a fight with Daniel Cormier. Of course, that does now depend on whether Lesnar wants to take a fight while still fulfilling his pro-wrestling obligations, as of course, there’s always a risk there.Lesnar was reportedly pretty much set on a UFC return, but that was until the sad announcement that Roman Reigns had to relinquish the Universal Title to battle leukemia, and Lesnar was attracted back to WWE‘s squared circle for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Jewel event.
The ‘Conqueror’s next announced WWE appearance will see him take on WWE Champion AJ Styles in a Raw vs. SmackDown non-title match at Survivor Series on November 18, a rematch from the same event last year.
For those of you who follow UFC, if Cormier doesn’t get his desired fight against Lesnar, Jon Jones is his second choice.
