More evidence has come to light suggesting that a huge former champion who has been absent for over a year could be returning to WWE soon.
We haven’t seen Ronda Rousey on WWE TV since WrestleMania 35 in April 2019, but recently, there have been rumours that she could be making a comeback.
Rousey’s good friend Natalya has dropped another hint at the potential return, when she tweeted:
Finished a wrestling practice in our ring… @TJWilson ran our practice with “Dr Tom” @drtomprichard man in the middle drills. Forgot how much I love/hate those drills! So much fun … wish I could tell you who i trained with!!
With Natalya having kept who she was training with a mystery, most signs point to Rousey. They trained together previously ahead of and during Rousey’s WWE run, and the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ has been getting back into training recently. Her current contract expires in April 2021.
There are of course other names it could be, one of which is former WWE Women’s Champion Melina. It was reported recently that Melina had signed with WWE and would be returning soon, but she has since denied that. But, if you know anything about wrestlers, you know they love lying about whether they’ve signed or not.
