A huge heel turn on tonight’s edition of NXT (April 4) saw a former NXT Champion take out a current champion in a big way.
In the closing moments of tonight’s edition of NXT, one star that has been rumored to be headed towards the main roster just made a big move.
After losing his NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver, Bron Breakker raised Carmelo Hayes’ hand in victory. And on tonight’s NXT, Hayes called Breakker out to the ring to say thank you.
While accepting his apology, Breakker noted that to pass the torch gracefully is something that he learned from Ciampa and wished to do the same.
However, the goodwill would be short lived as after the duo shook hands, Bron Breakker levelled Carmelo Hayes.
Taking out both the new WWE NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, Bron Breakker stood tall to the end the segment and cement his place as a certified heel.
The crowd for their part however was sort of odd, reacting in chants for “one more time,” despite the fact they also just booed Bron’s dastardly actions.
That’s NXT for you!
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of NXT, a star returned from NXT UK while another still made a shock return to attack a current champion.
