Brian Cage has debuted for All Elite Wrestling. After weeks of speculation, Cage was revealed as the final entrant in the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing with Taz as his manager.
After decimating the field, Cage was able to win the match to become number one contender for the AEW World Championship. The other competitors tried to bury him in ladders and pieces of the set but it was not to be. He emerged from the wreckage and took out Luchasaurus and Darby Allin to win the match.
It was reported that Cage had signed with AEW earlier this year. Cage and his wife vehemently denied the report but now it appears that they were simply trying to keep the surprise under wraps. He had been with Impact Wrestling prior to their Hard to Kill pay per view in January.
Cage had suffered a torn biceps and thus needed months to recover. The Young Bucks have said in the past that they are big fans of Cage and would have liked to have had him in a prominent match at All In. Now, we will see what he can do in AEW.
