The Forbidden Door has been opened. An NJPW Star has finally appeared on live AEW Television.
KENTA made an appearance on AEW: Dynamite to end the show. KENTA attacked Jon Moxley after the main event of the February 3, 2021 edition of the show.
KENTA has the rights to challenge Jon Moxley for the NJPW US Championship and Moxley has been given clearance to appear on NJPW Strong.
It's @KENTAG2S!!! He just attacked @JonMoxley!#AEWDynamite is available on https://t.co/zvOOm4JoWK in select Intl markets from #FITE pic.twitter.com/WhjnOiGOxq

This could be the beginning of a major relationship between the two companies. Or, it could just be a trial period to see how it goes and to get the title off Moxley.
Either way, having an active NJPW star appearing on AEW: Dynamite certainly signals an era of change in wrestling. AEW has had stars from ROH, IMPACT, NJPW, and NWA all appear on their show since it launched on TNT.
Even more interesting is the fact that KENTA made the save for Kenny Omega who was about to be attacked by Moxley. Could this mean the rift in The Bullet Club is over?
