Huge Number 1 Contender Match Made For WWE SmackDown On December 27

At the end of the December 20, 2019 edition of SmackDown, the lights flickered and Bray Wyatt could be heard laughing while Baron Corbin, The Miz, and Daniel Bryan were all in the ring.

This came after The Miz submitted Dolph Ziggler to win the tag team main event.  Miz and Daniel Bryan defeated Corbin and Ziggler in a tag team match.

After the match was complete, Michael Cole would announce a Triple Threat match for next week’s show.  Baron Corbin, The Miz, and Daniel Bryan will compete for a Universal Title Opportunity.

It was not explicitly stated when the title match would take place, but it could be possible this would be for a match at Royal Rumble.  Given the fact that local advertisements have been advertising Daniel Bryan and The Fiend for January, it would seem Daniel Bryan is going to win.

Corbin vs. Fiend would be a heel vs. heel dynamic that is not needed at this point.  However, Bryan and The Fiend makes a lot of sense given how TLC ended.

As always, WrestleTalk will be providing live coverage of SmackDown on December 27.  Follow along with us on the website and on Twitter during the show.
