We will reportedly learn more about the future of Ring of Honor soon, following Tony Khan’s acquisition of the promotion.
ROH has only hosted one event since Khan stated that he was the owner of the brand in Match. The April 1 Supercard of Honor show notably saw several titles change hands, with Samoa Joe returning to ROH in the closing moments of the event.
Per PWInsider, the belief is that an announcement on what will be the next Ring of Honor event will come within next few days.
ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham last wrestled for AEW at Battle of the Belts II in April, defending his gold against Dalton Castle. ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta and ROH Tag Team Champions FTR have regularly appeared on AEW shows since April.
Mercedes Martinez, who previously held the interim ROH Women’s Championship, notably became the official titleholder after defeating Deonna Purrazzo on the May 4 edition of Dynamite.
After forming Tully Blanchard Enterprises during Supercard of Honor, Tully Blanchard made an appearance on Friday’s episode of Rampage, teasing a ROH World Title storyline for his faction.
We will continue to provide updates on ROH as they become available.
