All Elite Wrestling has announced an important stipulation for two matches on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The winners of the PAC vs. Darby Allin and Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara matches will face each other the following week in a number one contenders match.
The winners of TONIGHT's matches, #4 @BastardPac vs @DarbyAllin and #5 @sammyguevara vs #1 @JonMoxley, will face off next Wed, Jan 22nd on the @jericho_cruise edition of #AEWDynamite to determine the #1 contender for the #AEW World Championship. pic.twitter.com/oJLj1gVupQ

Jon Moxley has been feuding with AEW World Champion Chris Jericho as of late. He would have to be considered the favourite to become the number one contender. Moxley turned down Jericho’s offer of joining the Inner Circle last week, hitting him with the Paradigm Shift in the process. Moxley will face Sammy Guevara for the first time ever this week.
PAC has not been happy about the lack of title shots being given to him lately. After coming away with big wins over Kenny Omega and Hangman Page, PAC has yet to receive a shot at Jericho’s title. He will now have his chance to earn the match he wants so badly. He faces Darby Allin tonight.
